About us
Company
PAWI VILMD srl is a company that has been operating on the Romanian market since 2012, selling a wide range of products specific to the forestry sector, benefiting from the support and relevant experience of over 30 years of its staff.
PAWI VILMD is the only representative in Romania of the entire TSUMURA product range, cooperating directly with the Japanese company, without other intermediaries.
Through partnerships created with national regulatory and control institutions and agencies in the field of interest, it was aimed that the promotion and marketing of the products in the company's portfolio be addressed primarily to professionals in the forestry industry - legal entities - as end users of specialized products.
TSUMURA - The world leader in quality guide rails & chainsaw accessories
-
-
Suehiro Seiko was founded in 1923, producing hand saws for the professional segment. In 1960, it began producing guide rails for chainsaws, becoming the first Japanese manufacturer in this field.
It is currently the world's quality leader in the field, the range of manufactured products expanding with professional chains for very hard materials - including deburring and cutting/cutting discs for trimmers and brushcutters.
Tsumura chainsaw guide rails and accessories are manufactured and assembled using advanced technology machinery and equipment, using a heat treatment process to provide a high standard of durability, strength, finish and precision.
The bar ends (rails) are made of quality material and treated with care, and the bearings are the best available. Even the rivets have been studied to be made of the strongest and most compatible materials.
Tsumura rails are sold worldwide, being the choice of professional foresters.
Technology
-
Laser cutting
The laser cutting process allows flexible and fast cutting, allowing any rail shape to be made - at the customer's request.
-
Heat treatment in a salt bath
Professional guide rails require both absolutely contrasting qualities - hardness and strength. Suehiro Seiko has adopted - following more than 30 years of research - the salt heat treatment that allows the ideal ratio of these two contrasting characteristics to be achieved - obtaining the ideal quality of steel for their manufacture.
Normally, steel is heated instantaneously to over 800°C; with salt bath treatment, this heating is done gradually. This results in a hard steel structure that becomes very uniform and undistorted.
-
The removal process
A chainsaw chain rotates at more than 25m/sec on the guide rail groove, so it is very important that the guide rail groove is straight.
If the groove is not perfectly straight, problems arise; for example, the guide rail will wear prematurely on non-linear segments.
That is why, in the manufacturing process of Tsumura blades, the straightening process is used 3 times: the pressing process, after the heat treatment and finally, the finishing process - all straightening processes are done manually, by qualified personnel.
-
Light & durable
Tsumura LIGHT guide rails incorporate a specific design, making them the lightest blades in the world. The notches are placed and made on the surface of the bar and covered with hard resin, which leads to a reduction in its weight - by approximately 20%.
This makes the blade much more stable and reduces physical effort, increasing efficiency in the cutting process.

Tsumura LAMINATE guide rails
A laminated guide rail is made up of 3 steel plates welded together, with the chain rotation sprocket at the top.
In general, the laminated guide rail is considered an economical type of blade, compared to the solid body guide rail.
The drive wheels at the top rotate at very high speed, so chain oil must be continuously applied to the body and head of the bar.
It is essential to clean the blade oil holes after using the chainsaw. It is also important to lubricate them with grease before and after using the chainsaw.
Laminated rails can have a single rivet at the top (BL, CL, FL, QL), 4 or 6 rivets.
The laminated rails in the CL, EL, MC and UC ranges are the LIGHT type (lighter).

Tsumura guide rails WITH SOLID BODY
There are two types of solid body guide rails. One is with an interchangeable head, and the other is without drive wheels at the top, having the tip welded (vidia reinforced). The sculpture guide rail is also considered a welded tip guide rail, but of the thin type.
The solid body guide rails are manufactured from a single plate of SKS-51 hard alloy steel, by direct cutting into the groove shape. The rails are also heat treated in a salt bath to obtain the ideal steel in terms of hardness and consistency.
Solid-body guide rails are tougher and more durable than laminated guide rails because they are made from a single plate. In addition, the solid head at the tip of the blade can be replaced with an interchangeable one, a change that significantly extends the life of the blade.
It is essential to clean the blade lubrication holes after using the chainsaw. It is very important to ensure lubrication with grease, especially on fixed head models, before/after use.
You will also find, for the entire range of solid body rails, LIGHT variants (20% lighter than the standard ones).
Chains for very hard materials & extrication
-
-
The Tsumura chain for very hard materials & extrication is coated with a thick layer of tungsten carbide on the entire cutting surface of the chain, which increases its hardness and extends its life.
The chain is specially designed to maintain an optimal depth gauge, even though the tooth has this tungsten carbide welded onto it.
The rescue chain is specially developed for demolition and rescue work, while the very hard material chain is used for cutting construction materials and very hard wood.
